Royal Family News: Lady Violet Manners and Viscount Garnock Prepare to Welcome Their First Child

Lady Violet Manners and her husband William James Lindesay-Bethune, also known as Viscount Garnock, have shared the joyful news that they are expecting their first child. The couple said they feel grateful and excited as they prepare to welcome this new chapter in their lives.

Their announcement comes less than a year after their elegant wedding, which drew significant attention among friends, family, and members of British high society. The pair married in June last year in a ceremony near Lady Violet’s family home, the historic Belvoir Castle in Leicestershire, United Kingdom.

The ceremony took place at St Mary the Virgin Church, Bottesford, where guests gathered in a setting steeped in tradition. The bride wore a custom couture gown by Phillipa Lepley, while the groom honored his Scottish heritage with a kilt made from the Lindsay family tartan.

One of the most notable details of the wedding was the bride’s jewelry. She wore the historic Rutland Tiara, a treasured family heirloom passed down through generations. The diamond piece, decorated with floral designs, had not been worn publicly for decades and added a distinctive touch to the ceremony. Lady Violet paired it with a flowing veil and a classic hairstyle, creating a timeless bridal look.

Bridesmaids, including her sisters and close friends, wore dresses in soft violet tones as a nod to the bride’s name. Flower girls and page boys completed the elegant bridal party, adding warmth and charm to the ceremony while complementing the traditional setting.

Both families played an important role in the celebration. The bride is the eldest daughter of David Manners, 11th Duke of Rutland and Emma Manners, Duchess of Rutland, while the groom is the son and heir of James Lindesay-Bethune, 16th Earl of Lindsay and Diana Lindesay-Bethune, Countess of Lindsay. Guests from across British society attended the celebration held at Belvoir Castle after the ceremony.

Today, as the couple shares the news of their growing family, memories of their wedding remain cherished among those who attended. Their announcement marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter, filled with anticipation as they look forward to welcoming their first child together.
